Ruby on Rails Developer

Key Responsibilities: - Understand product objectives and future aspirations. - Translate business requirements into technical solutions. - Review existing architecture and propose improvements. - Write well-designed, testable, efficient, reusable code. - Ensure optimal performance, quality, and responsiveness of the application. - Identify bottlenecks and bugs and devise solutions. - Maintain code quality, organization, and automation. - Stay updated on emerging technologies and apply them to e‑learning operations. - Provide IT support for the LMS as needed and create/maintain software documentation. What We're Looking For: - Proficiency with Ruby on Rails framework. - Strong understanding of object‑oriented programming. - Familiarity with design and architectural patterns. - Knowledge of concurrency patterns in Rails. - Ability to write clean, readable Ruby code. - Experience with both external and embedded databases. - Experience integrating third‑party applications via SAML, OAuth, and REST APIs. - Understanding of scalable application design principles. - Ability to create database schemas that support business processes. - Basic knowledge of Nginx server, its limitations, and workarounds. - Experience implementing automated testing and unit tests. - Proficient with Git and code versioning tools. - Familiarity with continuous integration pipelines. - Prior work on learning management systems, especially Canvas, is a plus.
