Director of Engineering

Key Responsibilities: - Lead and mentor a high‑performing engineering organization, including technology leaders and engineering managers. - Manage development work end‑to‑end: planning, estimation, execution, and delivery of backend web applications for desktop and mobile. - Ensure quality and compliance by collaborating closely with product management, QA, and support teams. - Architect and implement solutions that improve usability, performance, and scalability of the platform. - Participate in strategic planning sessions and project steering groups. - Stay current with global web development trends and drive adoption of innovative technologies. - Oversee change management, rollout control, and operational efficiency in a fast‑paced environment. What We're Looking For: - 8‑10+ years of technology experience focused on product development, with at least 3 years in a people‑management role. - Strong technical leadership and architectural skills, especially in backend solutions. - Proven ability to build, recruit, and mentor top engineering talent. - Experience collaborating in cross‑functional agile teams with product, design, and engineering stakeholders. - Demonstrated root‑cause problem‑solving skills and a data‑driven approach to issue resolution. - Track record of delivering innovative, world‑class products using the latest technologies. - Ability to set up processes that ensure high‑quality output and productivity. - End‑to‑end product knowledge covering setup, functionality, deployment, support, and build processes. - Working knowledge of Linux, Apache Server, Node.js, and Golang. - Relevant academic background such as BE/B.Tech, ME/MCA, M.Tech, or MBA (preferred).
