Automation Lead

Key Responsibilities: - Develop and deliver a test/QA automation roadmap to transform the quality and testing organization. - Lead, mentor, and provide technical/solutioning guidance to a team of Automation Engineers, promoting best practices. - Optimize test architecture and full‑lifecycle automation (unit to system verification) in collaboration with the automation factory. - Design and implement automation frameworks tailored to project‑specific testing requirements. - Assess project environments and deliver cross‑platform, cross‑tool automation solutions for waterfall, agile, and DevOps delivery models. - Create and update automation test scripts using tools such as Selenium and QTP. - Generate functional and non‑functional test data. - Execute functional and non‑functional tests throughout the SDLC and coordinate with developers. - Review test scripts to ensure comprehensive scenario coverage. - Conduct API testing and mobile testing with Appium. - Coordinate client reporting on a weekly/monthly basis and handle performance/load and security testing awareness. - Manage and lead a team of 4+ automation engineers, supporting their career growth toward senior roles. What We're Looking For: - Minimum 5 years of experience in technology/automation development projects. - Proven experience designing and implementing automation testing frameworks (e.g., TestNG, CARINA, Karate, Robot Framework) supporting agile product development. - Hands‑on expertise with automation tools such as Selenium, Appium, Katalon, UI Path, Cucumber, and API testing tools like RestAssured, SOAPUI, Postman, PACT, JMeter. - Strong programming skills in Java or Python (4+ years). - Experience with DevOps practices, Jenkins pipelines, and database interactions. - Solid understanding of HTTP, XML, RESTful data structures, JSON, and CSS. - Proficiency in shell scripting and Unix/Linux command line. - Ability to identify technical skill gaps, collaborate with learning and development resources, and foster team growth. - Strong communication and coordination abilities for client reporting and team handling.
